  1. There is no one remedy for preventing the aging process. Too much of ANYTHING is unhealthy. You have to find balance in everything. Cardio IS HEALTHY if done the correct way and combined with other lifestyle and environmental factors. Low fat is healthy if it is the RIGHT KIND of fats combined with the other nutrients and vitamins your body needs. Transfats DO cause heart disease which CAN decrease life span.

    In addition, no yoga in and of itself can slow aging, BUT combined with other healthy choices it most certainly CAN contribute to longevity. You stated yoga is healthy, “Since it’s very efficient for things like improving your inner awareness, mind-body connection and spiritual health.” Although I don’t practice yoga myself I feel it is an extremely healthy choice COMBINED with an all over well balanced healthy diet and a healthy work out regimen based upon your gender, age, lifestyle and genetics.

    Yoga helps a person understand what it means to be grounded, centered and POSITIVE. Attitude has EVERYTHING to do with longevity as do a healthy diet and maintaining cardiovascular respiratory endurance, so how can ANY of these things be bad? No, not one in and of itself can save your life, but they can all contribute to overall well being if done the RIGHT WAY.

    This article HUGELY saddens me because it will give those who are uneducated about health, fitness, nutrition and overall well being an excuse NOT to participate in healthy choices such as cardio, a low fat (WELL BALANCED) diet, positive attitude, and mind body connection among others.

    Please re-think your words and the population you are sending them to before being so irresponsible. You just may be contributing to the decrease in ones lifespan in the long run.
